CHORUS:    Let’s all go to Grandma’s house for Christmas Eve

It’s always been her favorite time of year…

Tho’ the star is shining bright atop the tree…

It’s not Christmas time ‘til everybody’s here.

VERSE 1:    The porch is strung with Christmas lights,

                    Snowflakes start to fall…

We hear Grandpa call out “Welcome home!”

You shake the snow off from your boots

As you hold your Daddy’s hand…

And everybody says how much you’ve grown!

VERSE 2:    Grandma made some Christmas cookies

                    Just for Santa Claus…

But, she’s sure to save a few for you!

Presents wrapped in red and gold ---

                    Tucked beneath the tree…

Grandpa’s hung the stockings straight and true.

CHORUS:                    (Repeat)

VERSE 3:    Pies are in the oven…the table has been set…

You’ll see family that you’ve missed throughout the year.

All your aunts and uncles…favorite cousins, too…

Will be singing Christmas songs so loud and clear.

VERSE 4:    Grandma will tell stories of Christmas long ago…

Back when she was just a little girl…

After having dinner, when we’re gathered ‘round the tree…

On the night when Santa travels ‘round the world.

CHORUS:                    (Repeat for Fade)
